Terms of Service

May 2026

The rules for using LocMe as a Host, Stay Manager, guest or visitor.

Acceptance and Platform Role

By using LocMe, you agree to these Terms. LocMe is a marketplace and software platform that connects Hosts with independent Stay Managers for short-term rental operations.

LocMe is not an employer of Stay Managers and is not a party to the service relationship between users, except for providing platform tools, payment infrastructure and policy enforcement.

Accounts and Responsibilities

  • Users must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information.
  • Hosts are responsible for accurate property, reservation and checklist information and for complying with local rules.
  • Stay Managers are responsible for completing accepted jobs professionally, safely and according to the checklist.
  • Users must not bypass LocMe fees, share prohibited contact details, abuse other users or use the platform illegally.

Payments and Fees

Payments are processed by Stripe. By using paid features, users also agree to Stripe terms and applicable Stripe Connect/Identity requirements.

LocMe charges a 5% platform fee on the reservation value, excluding cleaning fee, with a minimum of $5 per job unless a written promotion says otherwise.

Hosts may pay a $4.90 monthly subscription. Current launch pricing may include the first 3 months free.

Stay Managers can use the platform without a subscription. Their payout is the job gross amount for cleaning plus operational work, minus the LocMe 5% service fee and applicable Stripe transfer fees.

Funds are released after Host approval of completion or automatically after the release window, currently 24 hours, if no eligible dispute is opened.

Cancellation, Refunds and Disputes

  • A Host may cancel an unaccepted job without a Stay Manager payout.
  • After a job is accepted, cancellation may require payment for work already performed, documented costs or a reasonable cancellation amount.
  • If a Stay Manager cancels late, fails to appear or materially fails the checklist, LocMe may withhold payout, refund the Host in whole or in part, or restrict the account.
  • Disputes must be opened before payment release whenever possible. LocMe may review messages, photos, checklists, timestamps and payment records to make a platform decision.
  • Subscription cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless required otherwise by law. Subscription fees are generally not prorated.
  • Chargebacks, fraud signals or payment reversals may lead to account review, delayed payouts, collection of owed amounts or suspension.

Liability and Contact

The platform is provided as is. To the fullest extent allowed by law, LocMe is not responsible for the quality, safety or legality of services performed by users.

Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@locme.me. These Terms are governed by Texas law unless mandatory local law says otherwise.
